Godwin Ofikwu MD, ABS, ABCRS, Clinical assistant professor of Surgery at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, University of Nevada
He enjoys treating his patients and seeing them achieve healthy, active lifestyles through state-of-the-art treatment protocols. More importantly, he enjoys the human interaction and personal relationships they develop in the process.
Back in the early days of his academic career, he earned his medical degree from the Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria in 2000 and received an award for being the Best Graduating Medical Student in Surgery. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Columbia University, Harlem Hospital in 2015, followed by a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Ferguson Clinic, Michigan State University in 2016. He was also a surgical oncology resident at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2013.
As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in colon & rectal surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
